NOAD EQM also provides History Reports which help our Customers with Compliancy issues. User Activity monitoring enables our customers to monitor which documents are heavily used and others that are not used at all. Finally NOAD EQM can help  in migrations with supporting functionality.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT SPECIFIED BY PARTNER

NOAD EQM Server

The hardware requirements for a NOAD EQM server are:

• Server capable of running the supported Operating Systems
• >= 512 MB Internal memory (>= 1GB recommended)
• >= 200 MB of free disk space for the EQM Server software
• Disk space for the NOAD EQM File Store (part of EQM Repository)

The amount of disk space required by the NOAD EQM File Store depend on your deployment and the amount of changes. As a guideline
The NOAD EQM Quick Start Edition must be installed on the same server as the BusinessObjects Central Management server. Please check the Business Objects Requirement for the minimum requirements.

Additional Requirements

The following software tools are required on the NOAD EQM Server

• Business Objects Universe Designer (Client)
• Business Objects Desktop Intelligence (Client)
• Business Objects SDK (.Net and Java)
• Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Redistributable Package

If the Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 is not installed, the NOAD EQM Set-up will install this automatically as part of the set-up

Databases
NOAD EQM is shipped with an embedded database. This embedded database can be used for all NOAD EQM Editions.
When you have the NOAD EQM Enterprise Edition you are able to install NOAD EQM using one of the supported Database Management Systems.
Microsoft SQL Server
NOAD Supports the following database/versions

• MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
• MS SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
• MS SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition
• MS SQL Server 2000 SP4
• Oracle 11g
• Oracle 10g

When using Oracle for the NOAD EQM Repository, the Oracle Client tools must be installed on the NOAD EQM Server.
When using Oracle, the Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server (OraMTS) must be installed.
Installing NOAD EQM in your own Oracle Database Server is only available for the NOAD EQM Enterprise Edition.

Business Objects Client Tools
NOAD Supports the following versions of Business Objects Client Tools

• Business Objects XIr2 SP3 (all fix packs)
• Business Objects XIr2 SP4 (all fix packs)
• Business Objects XIr2 SP5 (all fix packs)
• Business Objects XI 3.1 (fix pack 1.3 or higher)

Application Servers
NOAD EQM is shipped with a embedded Java Application Server. The NOAD EQM Enterprise Edition can be configured using an 3rd party Java Application Server. When installing NOAD EQM on a 3rd party Java Application Server, the customer will be responsible for deploying the NOAD EQM Components for that Java Application Server. NOAD EQM is know to work with the following Java Application Servers:

• Apache TomCat 5.0
• WebLogic
• IBM Websphere

The NOAD EQM Quick Start Edition can only be used together with the embedded Java Application Server

NOAD EQM Client

The NOAD EQM Client tools have the following Hardware requirements :
